Healthy Diet
Many people who embrace more naturalistic philosophy with regard to diet, often think that you must become a vegetarian in order to be healthy. That's not always true. We have something called our own bio-individuality which simply means that based on our genetic make-up; we all have different affinities to different foods. One man's meat may be another man's poison.
For those who eat meat and have a hard time with it, I would suggest that you listen to your body and eat as healthy as possible. Anything that does not digest well should be chewed more thoroughly and eaten in moderation with the assistance of plant based digestive enzymes!! You can go to my web page @ www.vmaltinebeauty.com and read up on the benefits of enzymes. (Sometimes because of a poor diet, your pancreas may not be producing enzymes as efficiently as it could be).
A healthy diet consists of a balance of : fats, good carbs (fresh fruit and veggies)and protein. Meat in particular , should never be eaten in excess. We can use legumes and nuts as a source of protein, but we must make sure that we are getting all of our essential amino acids. The problem with vegetarians is that many times they haven't read enough on how to compliment proteins, and they wind up being deficient. Protein deficiency can compromise your immune system, thin your hair out and have an adverse affect on your skin, These organs and system need protein in order to function optimally.
Will continue on the dangers of excess protein next week!! Please leave your comments so that I will know whether or not you find this information to be beneficial!!
Have a great weekend you deserve it. !!!!!(*_*)

The Benefits Of Water
The first thing that I recommend to my clients in starting their journey to wellness is; making sure that they have adequate water intake. People don't realize how important it is to drink water. We need water: to make saliva, we need water to make digestive juices, we need water to avoid constipation, we need water to maintain our blood volume levels and we need water to clear toxins form our system through our colon and kidneys.
We can't replace water with fluids like soda, coffee and juice and think that we are fulfilling our hydrating needs. Coffee is dehydrating, so when you drink a cup, you have to replace it with two cups of water. Soda is full of sugar which is immuno-suppressing, you have to drink water to flush the excess sugar out of your system. Juice can have the same affect depending on how much sugar is in the juice. As an instructor, I would often ask my students how many of them thought it would be appetizing to have a bowel movement, mix it up in the toilet water, and then take a cup, dip it into the toilet and drink it. Of course they were totally disgusted by that idea, that was exactly the response I wanted. When you don't drink enough water the body can't release toxins, it will hold on to the toxic fluid and use it make saliva, gastric juices, maintain blood volume levels along with the other functions I formentioned. Get the picture, YUK!!!!
The object lesson here is to make sure that you get enough water, toxicity will only initiate the disease process.
